Swines are the harbinger of the end of civilization. We can only avoid the coming a-pork-alypse if we take the necessary measures to protect ourselves. This old Mercer Report video has some prudent suggestions on how to defend yourself from those murderous germs, and even an ominous forewarning of the coming swine flu:

Poets and Gutters is the namesake of Bob Dylan's A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall, in which Dylan prognosticates a rather dire fate for both humanity and "the poet who died in the gutter." Never would I equate my prose with poetry, but I do seek to provide something more than a gutter for the inspired minds that are free from the shackles of the inane news cycle.
